Contract Administrator
Job Description:
Geosyntec Consultants, a national environmental consulting firm with an office located in Oakland, California seeks a Contract Administrator.
This position is responsible for performing various specialized accounting functions of moderate complexity and ensuring that procedures and practices are followed in accordance with company policy, and contractual obligations. Responsibilities also include administration of the office’s contract administration and client billings for government and commercial clients, including the set-up and administration of contract project information in the accounting database, cost accounting, administration of spreadsheets, and administration of electronic timesheet data, processing of employee expense report data, and client billings. Time is also spent performing clerical duties.
Qualifications: A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience coordinating and administering the invoicing process for a professional services firm, preferably in an engineering firm environment. Knowledge of job costing, contract file administration and comprehension of project revenue and cost calculation is also required. Must have a thorough knowledge of cost accounting, excellent written and oral communication skills, skill with MS Office products, and the ability to work as an enthusiastic team member. Experience operating computer systems to include: Web-based, Windows-based, and DOS-based office and accounting software applications and peripherals for data entry and data management is required. Basic knowledge of data entry techniques and spreadsheets is required. Familiarity with BST accounting is a plus.
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance is preferred; however, significant related experience may be considered.
